Re: Appointment of The Long Hill Company as Receiver for Connecticut assisted living community
Shelton, Connecticut-The Long Hill Company, headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, has been named under a court order as the Receiver of an assisted living property located in Southbury, Connecticut.
The Long Hill Company appointed on behalf of the mortgage holder, Guaranty Bank, and as ordered by the Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut, will oversee Kensington Green of Southbury, a 120-apartment assisted living and memory care community.
The responsibilities of the management team, headed by Dr. Jack Ritchie, will be to oversee day-to-day operations of the assisted living community and ensure the highest quality in resident care. “We are here to share management style and offer experienced leadership in conjunction with our award-winning parent organization, United Methodist Homes in order to enhance the operating position of Kensington Green of Southbury,” states Dr. Ritchie.
The Long Hill Company is the management subsidiary of United Methodist Homes (UMH), a local not-for-profit organization based in Shelton, Connecticut with a 100-year tradition of serving the elderly. UMH owns and operates retirement and assisted living communities as well as skilled nursing communities in four locations in Connecticut.
